Celebration of ICAR Foundation Day & Technology Day
Krishi Vigyan Kendra Cuttack organized a 3-days Technology Day program for farmers, farmwomen, rural youth and grassroot level extension functionaries under Scheduled caste sub-plan on 95th Foundation Day of Indian Council of Agricultural Research during 16-18 July 2023. About 90 participants from Salepur, Tangi-Choudwar, Banki and Mahanga block took part in the Technology Day celebration at KVK campus where technologies on different crops, mushroom, vegetables, livestock, and poultry were discussed in detail. On 16th July the participants interacted with the KVK experts on different field problems, whereas on 17th July the experts discussed in detail about the soil health card, balanced fertilizer use, scientific cultivation methodology of crops, mushroom, pulses, oilseeds, livestock and poultry. On 18th July the pranimitras of Tangi-Choudwar block participated and were updated with different treatment and management techniques for livestock and poultry. Dr SD Mohapatra, Nodal Officer, KVK discussed about insect and pest management techniques for different crops. Dr Sujata Sethy, OIC, KVK urged the participants to adopt the successful technologies for their economic gain. Dr Dillip Ranjan Sarangi, Dr Tusar Ranjan Sahoo, Dr Ranjan Kumar Mohanta and Sri Debasish Jena briefed the participants as experts. In addition, they were exposed to the demonstration units of KVK Cuttack and successful technologies of ICAR by Dr Ranjan Kumar Mohanta, the organizer of the event.
