National campaign on “Poshan Abhiyan and Tree Plantation” – 2022
KVK Cuttack organized an Awareness-cum-Capacity development programme in collaboration with IFFCO on the occasion of National campaign on Poshan Abhiyanand tree plantationon September 17, 2022 at KVK Cuttack, Santhapur campus for farmers, farmwomen and other stakeholders of Cuttack district on various aspects of nutri-cereals, biofortified crops and sustainable agriculture to address malnutrition by bringing change in the food systems through different interventions. The programme was chaired by Dr. S Sethy, Head KVK, Cuttack. About 60 participants were joined the programme where farmers and farm women were trained on Role of nutri-cereals in human health by Dr R.K. Mohanta, SMS (Animal Science), Value addition and product development of nutri-cerealsby Dr S. Sethy, SMS (Home Science), Types of Nutri-cereals and scope of cultivating nutri-cereals in Cuttack by Dr D.R. Sarangi, SMS (Soil Science)and Role of plantation on sustainable agriculture & rural livelihood by Dr T. R. Sahoo, SMS(Horticulture). Sri Debasis Jena, SMS (Agrometeorology) coordinated the programme. Hundred vegetable seed kits supplied by IFFCO were distributed among the participants.
