World Environment Day 2023

Celebration of World Environment Day at KVK Cuttack

KVK, ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack conducted a mass plantation campaigns on “World Environment Day” at its Campus on June 5, 2023. Dr. Amaresh Kumar Nayak, Director, ICAR-National Rice Research Institute, Cuttack graced the occasion as the Chief Guest of the program and pledged the oath to save the planet through protection of the environment. He advised the staff of KVK Cuttack and ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack to plant trees in the boundaries and non-inhabited or wastelands to improve the green cover of the planet and save the earth from the adversary effects of the climate change. Dr MJ Baig, Dr Sanghamitra Samantaray, Dr Pratap Bhattacharya and Dr SD Mohapatra, the divisional heads of ICAR-NRRI, Cuttack planted saplings along with the KVK staffs. Dr SD Mohapatra, Head, Crop Protection Division and Nodal officer, KVK Cuttack welcomed the dignitaries and Dr Sujata Sethy, Officer-in-Charge, KVK Cuttack offered the vote of thanks. All the specialists of KVK Cuttack, namely, Dr Dillip Ranjan Sarangi, Dr Tusar Ranjan Sahoo, Dr Ranjan Kumar Mohanta and Sri Debasish Jena along with other staff of KVK organized the program to improve green cover of the institute. It was decided to improve the green cover of the institute by peripheral plantation of the whole campus.
